Meet Kaitlyn Vo, AMFT (She/Her)
Under supervision of Dr. Elizabeth Solomon Loyola (PSY29471).
Kaitlyn Vo, AMFT, is a dedicated and compassionate therapist at California’s Child Psychology Center with a genuine commitment to helping children, young adolescents, young adults, and families navigate life’s unique challenges. With a client-centered, culturally sensitive approach, Kaitlyn creates a safe and supportive environment where her clients feel valued and heard. She is particularly passionate about working with those who struggle with anxiety, trauma, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, OCD, and other challenges. Kaitlyn also provides support for children who have experienced parental divorce and assists parents in understanding and addressing their children’s difficult behaviors. Her approach is focused on building on clients' strengths and tailoring treatment to their unique experiences and needs.
Therapeutic Approach
Kaitlyn’s therapeutic approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and culturally sensitive, incorporating a range of modalities to meet her clients’ needs. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for managing anxiety and depression, Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) for treating OCD, and Narrative Therapy to help clients process trauma and reframe their experiences. Additionally, Kaitlyn utilizes PC-CARE, Solution-Focused Therapy, and creative strategies, such as art, movement breaks, videos, and workbooks, to engage children and adolescents effectively in teletherapy sessions. She works to empower her clients by helping them see their resilience and take steps toward feeling more in control of their lives.
Education and Training
Kaitlyn earned her BA from the University of California, Riverside, in 2021, and went on to obtain her MA in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University in 2023. During her academic career, she served as a research assistant in both the Childhood Cognition Lab and the Social Engagement and Action Lab at UC Riverside, where she gained valuable insight into childhood development and social psychology.

Kaitlyn is dedicated to continuous learning and professional growth. She regularly engages in supervision and is committed to staying up to date with the latest advancements in the field. She is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) and Phi Beta Kappa.

Kaitlyn specializes in working with children, young adolescents, and young adults, addressing a range of issues including anxiety, trauma, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), perfectionism, OCD, and disruptive behaviors. Her expertise also extends to helping clients through significant life transitions, whether they’re young adults navigating new life stages or families adjusting to change. She is deeply committed to supporting young adults, children, and families through life’s challenging transitions, helping each of her clients build resilience and develop strategies for success.
Services Offered
Kaitlyn offers individual teletherapy services to children (ages 3 and up), adolescents, and young adults throughout California. She also collaborates closely with parents, providing guidance on managing their children’s challenging behaviors. As a bilingual therapist, Kaitlyn is able to offer therapy sessions in both English and Mandarin.
What Inspired Her Journey
Kaitlyn’s journey into therapy began with an interest in understanding personality disorders and human behavior. Over time, her academic interests evolved into a passion for creating a compassionate, nonjudgmental space for those who may feel unheard or misunderstood. Kaitlyn believes in the power of therapy to provide healing, and she is passionate about offering support to those who need it most.
Outside the Office
Outside of her work, Kaitlyn enjoys discovering new restaurants and sharing meals with friends and loved ones—her favorite cuisines are Japanese and Italian. She loves reading, especially dystopian novels, and watching mystery shows and competitive reality TV. Recently, she’s been rediscovering her love for volleyball and tennis and is excited to continue exploring these sports in her free time.
